Ten Beaches Nova Scotia
The beauty of Ten Beaches has made it a popular place for artists to both paint and live. Based mainly on the Aspotogan Peninsula, the Aspotogan Arts & Crafts Association boasts about 50 members and hosts a number of popular exhibits.
The exhibition season usually kicks off with the association's annual crafts show. This year's sixth annual show takes place May 12-13 at the Blandford Community Hall. One of the largest exhibitions of the year is HubARTS, to be held this year July 15-20 at The Barn in Hubbards. HubARTS features a wide-range of work, including sculptures, pottery, photography, woodworking, metal works, rug hooking and oil, acrylic and water paintings.
Another popular arts show is the Summer Art Gallery and Tea Room Exhibition, July 28 to Aug. 12, at the Ocean Swells Community Centre. The exhibit runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
