Fox Point

Ten Beaches, Nova Scotia - Fox PointFox Point, Nova Scotia

Located about three kilometers (two miles) west of Hubbards, on Highway 329, Fox Point was settled in the early 1800's and became home to the well known Shatford family, who descendents remain in the area to this day.

Fox Point, which is believed to have derived its name from some incident involving a fox, is home to one of our Ten Beaches. The community has a local market, restaurant, lobster pound and day care.

Fox Point was one of the area worst hit by Hurricane Juan, which battered the Nova Scotia coastline in September 2003.
